i’m back! and tired….
i saw a lot of things. took way too many pictures.
decided that prague was the best and am booking a ticket to go back in november.
i ate frog legs and squid ink. jumped in a freezing switzerland lake and was bit by a swan.
and i got some holy water from the vatican.
i’ll be back to a regular illustration schedule soon.
here are some pictures before we get back to drawing.
oh me oh my. time sure is flying. one of my best friends from back in nyc was here for 2 weeks. and now all of a sudden it is a week away from my ’3 weeks traveling around europe’ trip. so i am scrambling getting things in order and finishing up jobs and preparing some potential things and sending all my emails.
the hard part is when you are freelance you are never really on vacation. at least for me. i have to always keep one eye on my emails, hoping for the next great job.
needless to say i’m stressed out this week!
but here are some photos from the past few weeks of fun.
just a few more photos form paris. a few of these were taken by fred. guess which ones! (hint: he is a much better photographer than me. much much better.)
cafe afternoons. (this one my mom took!)
paris rain walking.
here are some of the fun details i found in the louvre. sadly we were only there about 2 hours. you really need 2 days there, maybe more. nevertheless. it was a very inspiring two hours. here are my favorite little bits.
this weird baby.
this old man.
these pretty shells.
this famous lady.
this dragon attack.
this good fight.
this wine lover.
this wonderful ceiling.
so i am back! and i took too many pictures, so i am sorry this post will be image heavy. i’m only putting a few up on this blog, and will slowly post all/too many photographs over at my tumblr. anyways….
there was this thing.
tourist posing with sun in your face.
pretty pretty streets.
standing in the sun.
just pretty things everywhere.
and snail eating.
and vin drinking.
we found méliès!!!
finally tried one of these.
i loved this cat graffiti.
mirrors in the louvre.
and goodbye paris. went from the louvre straight to the train.
next i’ll post some nice details from the louvre and then some pictures from my little stay-cation in amsterdam.
it is cold in amsterdam. so cold that the canals have frozen over for the first time in years. i was told since 1997.
so of course we went ice walking.
more pictures here!
this weekend fred and i decided to do something new. so we made some photo gifs. it was mostly fred. he is the computer smart one.
it was really cold, so we didn’t experiment as much as we wanted. but i guess that is what spring will be for. and once we invent a nice camera rig we can do more action filled ones.
and yea, trying to do this with a super hyper dog was a silly idea. but we will get better at this.
