here is a little painting i did yesterday.
don’t cut down trees lest the bigfoot eat you.
being sick is maddening. i’m about to go collect some antioxidants and bring them back to inject straight into my bloodstream. or just eat/drink/eat them. while laying around on the floor feeling all sort of woozy.weary.weathered i took some pictures of things i put on my windowsills.
important tools
a birth
a wooden fan
some science
some kept time.
and firework giraffe.
potemkin was an alright photo assistant.
also! earlier this week before i was contaminated i made the skeleton a friend in teal.
as promised last week. here is my favorite stop motion project we have made. how to make an old fashioned!
i’m thinking about doing some more ‘recipe’ videos. i think they are pretty cute.
as the days get warmer i want to spend more time outside. much more. so saturday we went over to one of the parks in ‘de pijp’ neighborhood and had a little dutch picnic. kaas, brood, and genever. i finally finally got to use my travel bar!
this is my best antique find of all time. i found it in a new hampshire antique store. i thought it was a binocular case but when i opened it i was elated to find 2 travel decanters. one labeled bourbon, one labeled scotch.
sadly scotch is way expensive in the netherlands and bourbon is practically nonexistent. boo. so i filled it with the local liquor, genever.
we walked back towards the city center, stopped by the apartment to grab glasses and some bottles, and sat by a canal drinking bier until the sun went dim.
time for a little end of the week psycho killer love. i may be a crazy cat lady who now owns a dog, but this cat was a soul mate / blood brother to me. i am eternally grateful for technology for the soul reason of having loads of pictures to remember just how great he was. ( i do wish i had the camera i have now back then though. these are a bit blurry )
in the last post i spoke of stop motion projects. i realize i haven’t posted any on this blog yet! fred and i like to work on little side stop motion films in our time off. here are two, the first one is our most recent one and the only one we’ve completed ( so far ) in amsterdam. and the second one was a tiny homage to my dear departed psycho killer cat.
i’ll post my favorite stop motion next week ( it is a fast paced jazz rendition on how to make my favorite drink ) and soon we will be finished with our second amsterdam based video.
