today i was working on making some images strictly in adobe illustrator. i haven’t used the program in a really long time. it took a little getting used to but i think i’m gettting the hang of it again.
i made these quick little illustrations.
todays illustration is inspired by mexican wrestlers and death in the desert. and a little bit of love.
i bought these white shoes when i first moved to new york 5 years ago. they were white then.
after years of running around they became disgusting. a brownish yellow color. not cute. so i dyed them black which ended up coming out grey.
and last week i decided they needed an upgrade. so out came white fabric paint and now i have polka-dot shoes. why buy new shoes when you have paint on hand.
today i made a little label design just for fun. kiwi oil!? sure. i did this one entirely in photoshop which is new to me, but i think it turned out pretty good!

so here’s what i put together today. bear racing! my computer was being infinitely slow, so it took much longer than it should have.
and now it is 5 o’clock on a friday! i’m off to make a drink.

i’ve been working on 4 separate paintings today. most circus themed. this cowboy buffalo was the first to be finished.
so… tah-dah!
this is the story in ‘a sad day for kites’ that always makes people laugh and then be upset about the fact that they laughed at a story like this.
